Home Improvements

We were fortunate to move into a newer house that needed little improvements. We love the big white trim around the windows and doors. We love the granite and stainless steel appliances. But we do not love the paint colors or lack thereof. Only a few rooms had been painted and they were not done well. So we are going through the house, room by room, to paint the walls and repaint the trim/doors. Luckily for us, we have a pro-painter in the family - Michelle - who is helping us!! I am also having so much fun decorating Talia's room. I hope she likes pale pink and gray for years to come!

Here are some pics of the projects we've done so far:

The bathroom had been painted a horrible orangey color. We added the tall wainscoting and painted it a dark brown - LOVE!!

Here's a pic of Talia's room when it was still white. And below is a cheap chandelier Michelle and I found at a resale/junkyard that we s[ray painted and sewed a cover for the chain. I'm loving these projects!

And Talia's room with pale gray walls and the refurbished chandelier!

Michelle and I went to a few antique stores in Redmond and found this old mirror and shutters. I spray painted the shutters to match the pink princess bed she has!
