Fall is here!

Fall time is a little different here than on the other side of the mountains. Instead of the rain starting, here it just gets cooler at night, but the sun continues to shine throughout the day! We've been taking advantage of our beautiful weather and still getting out and doing fun things.
Playdates with Ava!
One of the last mows of the season.  Still can't get over the fact that the grass doesn't grow in the winter.  Such a foreign concept to me.  Oh, and excuse the bare marks in the grass.  So sad to see the nice sod we put in ruined.  But that's what happens when you have 2-4 dogs at your house at all times!

Had to pull out our winter gear for our walks now!
We love this park so much.
Bundled up again

Portland - birthdays&babies!!

Surprise, surprise - we took another trip into Portland!  With so many birthdays and babies, I love having these excuses to go back as often as possible!  And since fall is coming, we don't have another scheduled trip until December, so trying to enjoy our time there right now :)

We came into Portland to celebrate Lincoln turning 5 (WOW!) and Jenna's birthday.  As well as to meet Ali's new little one and Brittni's new little girl.  And of course we had to pack it all in while there.  We wouldn't have it any other way :)

Great pic of the cousins with Big Papa.  We celebrated at Oaks Park - a place I hadn't been to since my overnight Grad Night the night I graduated high school, even though I had lived so close to there for 15 years.
We could've spent many more hours here.  Tristan loved all the rides that were just his size.  But of course we had a million more things to do, so had to be on our way!
Love these three!!!

And then the next day, we went over to Trac & Dave's for Jenna's bday BBQ. I love their house so much and the backyard always amazes me. Even though we've lived in the high desert for just over a year, every time we come back to Portland, I'm still so shocked at how big and lush the plants are here. And Trac's landscaping definitely captures that well!
Love having pics of these two as they're growing up.  When they were babies, they would always hold hands when around each other.  So cute :)
Charlie Pierce Jackson - such a sweetheart!
Our BBQs are a little different these days.  Trac and Dave are good sports to have little ones destroy their nice green grass and throw rocks all over their beautiful backyard.  Guess it's just trying to prepare them for the future :)
We have the best pics of these three throughout the years.  Looking forward to many more!
Talia's BBF - Averie!
Gotta have the obligatory birthday cake and candles, no matter what your age!
LOVE these girls so much.  Miss them every day :)
I thought maybe she would be wiped out from our busy weekend and sleep the whole ride home, but she had other plans.  The energizer bunny, this one :)

Danners in Bend!

This past weekend, my brother and his family came over for a visit.  After the camping disaster weekend, they left for the east coast for two weeks to go to Bridgit's brother's wedding and to visit her parents who live there.  We told them we would bring their dog, Stella, back with us since they didn't want to kennel her for that long.  We loved having Bella & Brody's doggy cousin stay with us - not only is it good exercise for Bella, but Stella's also the sweetest dog ever.  After they returned from their trip, it was a good excuse for the Danners to come visit for Labor Day weekend.  Win-win!
Brian joked that Stella got better treatment at our house than our two dogs - neither of ours are allowed on the furniture, but it was hard to tell Stella no!
Of course I didn't get any pictures of our weekend with the Danners and only got these pics of their sweet dog. I'm sure we had some fun times with her owners that weekend, just didn't think to document it :)
