Sick/snow days :(

The last two days we've been fortunate to have a few inches of snow up at our house, but unfortunately T has also been sick. Too sick for us to be able to go outside and play in it for too long. I was also hoping my school would have a few snow days with this weather, but alas, hardly any snow accumulated on the valley below. So, T and I had to take two sick days at home and watched the beautiful snow fall down.
We did manage to play outside for about 5 minutes - just enough time for a few photo opps. Poor guy ended up with an ear infection after we finally went to the doctor :(

20 months

I cannot believe my baby boy is four months away from turning two! Where did the time go?? He is absolutely the joy of our lives. He is the sweetest, most loving and cuddliest little boy ever. We are amazed each day by how much he learns and shows us what he can do. Here are some highlights:
* He can say so many words now and is starting to say full phrases/sentences. We may not know each word he is saying in the sentence, but we still understand the idea of it :)
* He LOVES the iPad, much to the dismay of his teacher mom :) Since coming home from my parents house, his new favorite thing is to find Mickey Mouse Hot Dog Dance clips on YouTube. We're really trying to limit his time on it as well as on mom's iPhone!!
* He loves to play with his Cozy Coupe car and push it around the kitchen to the dining room to the play room, etc.
* He loves cars, trucks, tractors and anything else he can push around
* He is such a cuddler and loves to give hugs and kisses to us and the doggies

T's social weekend

What a busy weekend we had! On Saturday, we went to Aubrey's 2nd birthday and had fun celebrating with all of our good friends.
Birthday girl!!
Princess Leah
Tristan and good friend Logan
Photo attempt #17 of all the kiddos. At least most of them are looking in the right direction!
Then on Sunday, we met up with some other great friends, Shannon & Nick, and their two little ones, Kaiden & Kalya, at the Children's Museum. They were in town visiting family and wanted to hang out before going back home to Eugene. We used to hang out with them quite often even though we had a two hour drive between us, but since having kiddos, it's definitely been a struggle to find the time to see them. So, we jumped at the chance to meet up with them!
One of the only family pics we have of the three of us. Sad that in almost two years, we don't have very many! And I also wish we would have taken more with the Carter family. I just realized I don't have any of Nick or Kalya!!

26 weeks and feeling cramped...

Wow, for the last few weeks I've seriously been feeling preggo!! The "bump" has really become evident and each day I am realizing how little space I have left. My skin is feeling about as tight as it can possibly go. How can a tummy grow any more?? That's a ridiculous question because I know it's going to get even bigger - yikes! My sweet tooth is continuing to be slightly out of control with frozen treats and cookies being at the top of my list. With Tristan, I longed for smoothies and coffee. This time around, I haven't been interested in smoothies, but the mere mention of froyo makes my mouth water. Good thing there is a self-serve shop around every corner! Oh, and coffee is pretty much a necessity. Even if it's only a few sips in the morning, it tricks me into thinking that I had enough caffeine to get me through the day :) Again, no pics, but see post from Cocktail Party three weeks ago and just add another few inches :)

Single Weekend

This past weekend, my parents offered to take Tristan for a sleepover up north in preparation for the little one coming in a few short months. We hardly knew what to do with ourselves! So of course we packed in as much as possible :)
I tried to get a good picture of how easy it was for him to walk away from us at the airport to catch the plane with Grama, but by the time I got the camera out, he was already far ahead of us. For some reason, we pictured it being a lot harder for him to leave us, but it ended up being a lot harder for us instead :(
We went over to Clint & Sarah's house for Sarah's birthday BBQ. Nate & Christie came over and brought a pinata - because, isn't that what you're supposed to have at a 31st bday party?? Love these pics of Sarah & Lawrence taking a swing at it. Oh, and the Scooby Doo mask was also something they figured would work well with the pinata. Fun, but somewhat creepy :)
Even Jaime had to have a little fun with the mask.

Happy 2012!!

Last night, we had a family-friendly New Year's and invited a few couples over for a last minute celebration. It was fun to have Amelia & Lincoln come over to play with Tristan. I also appreciate those couples who came over who do not have kiddos yet - thanks for celebrating NYE a little differently this year!
Different scene with kids' toys littering the living room - my, how times have changed!
Tristan & Lincoln wide awake the next morning - too bad both of their dads were upstairs still sleeping while we had all the fun making a gourmet breakfast, cleaning the house, etc. I guess the boys didn't get the memo like their dads that New Year's Day is a day to sleep in until the afternoon!
