Danner Family Fun!

Last weekend, my brother, Bridgit, Lincoln and my Dad came to visit us for the weekend! It was my Dad's first time seeing our new place (and the first time in Bend in quite awhile), so we decided to pack in as much as possible!

The first thing Big Grandpa and Tristan did together was have a jam session, of course. Since Tristan shares his grandpa's love for music and guitars, they jammed out with the guitars, then made their way to the drum set. Tristan was in heaven!

Since both Tristan and Big Grandpa needed their guitars re-strung, we of course needed to stop by the guitar store! Big Grandpa also gave Tristan a tutorial on all things guitar while there. A boy after his Big Grandpa's heart :)

Eli came over to visit and of course the boys had to play with the dump trucks!

Big Grandpa had to get some snuggle time in with Talia :)
Trav, Bridg, Brian and I (with Talia!) even got to have a night out while Big Grandpa played at home with the boys. It was a bit of a last-minute idea which explains why I'm rocking the no-shower-hair-pulled-back look :)

Out to breakfast on our last morning at our favorite breakfast spot.

We LOVED having our family over to visit!! Always good times with great people!

First Snow!

Today we had our first glimpse of the winter season ahead! We had our first few inches of snow. For anyone who knows me, they know how excited this made me!!! Can't wait for the months ahead!!!

Portland, pumpkin patch, play dates and planes...oh my!

This past weekend, we once again made the trip into Portland. This time it wasn't for a shower or a birthday, it was actually for Talia's doctor appointment. I won't go into much detail, but we visited the Cranial/Facial Team at OHSU to determine if an indentation in the back of her head was something to be concerned about. Luckily, after many weeks of anxiety about what it could be, we found out that it is just fine. Phew.

Okay, back to our trip. Since my parents knew we were coming over for her appointment, they decided they also wanted to come down for our annual Pumpkin Patch trip. So, we got to make it into a fun trip after all! We also got to meet up with friends for dinner one night and then also had a play date with Ali & Aubrey another day. Just like always, we try and cram as much into a weekend as possible. There are still so many people I want to see and things I want to do, but we never seem to have enough time to see/do all of them. But one thing's for sure, we always have soo much fun!

Third annual pic of the boys! And notice the vest, rain coat, sweatshirt apparel. Now that's the pumpkin patch we're used to :)

These two love to make each other laugh :)
We went shopping with Ali & Aubrey and then had lunch by the airport. Here Aubrey & Tristan are fascinated by the planes landing and taking off. They could have sat here for hours!

Pumpkins, pumpkins

Yesterday, Michelle, Emma, Eli, along with our clan, took a field trip to the local pumpkin patch. It looked a little different than one we are used to frequenting in years past, but we still had a lot of fun! This was Talia's first time to see pumpkins, so of course we were sure to get a lot of pictures!
Notice the blue skies - not the usual gray skies we are used to at this time of year :)

Tristan wasn't really interested in getting his picture taken this day. Which is why most of these pics are of him with a sour look on his face :)
We stopped for lunch afterward - this is Talia's first time sitting at the table with us!

Happy Half-Birthday!!

Happy 6 months to our sweet Sissy!!! It's hard to believe that we have a rolling, sitting 6 month old! She is definitely not an infant anymore! She is now gaining her independence!

Here are some milestones she has reached within the past month:
*She is a sitter!
*She is such a smiler - it is very contagious!
*She loves to interact with her brother. They still really love each other, which I hope continues to grow over the years!
*She is definitely starting to fill out - we don't have a thin girl on our hands anymore. That just means she is healthy and happy! Thank goodness the days of losing weight and being tiny are behind us!

She is such a sweet little girl and we are so lucky to have her in our lives! Here are some pics of her on her 6 month birthday:

Tristan still loves to serenade her with his guitar. And she politely listens from her Jumparoo. So cute!

First time sitting!

We have a sitter! Talia has been sitting with a little help lately, but just today she finally sat for the first time by herself! Here are some pics that shows her new skill!

Real Camping

This past weekend, we got to have our first camping experience of the summer, even though it's technically fall :) We lucked out with weather as this was probably the last nice weekend for awhile.

We met up with my parents, Trav, Lincoln and Bridg's mom, Karen,(as Bridg already had plans) at Detroit Lake. It was my first time camping at this lake and definitely won't be my last! We had a great time on Papa's boat, eating S'mores and playing games. Even though it was absolutely freezing at night - the coldest I've ever been in my life, only sleeping two hours the first night! - the days were pretty nice for a camping trip. Can't wait to go back next year!

The boys playing with all of Papa's cars!

The boys had the campground to themselves to ride their bikes!
Babies need a lot more camping gear than anyone else!

Packing up to go home!
Great photo opp of Mt. Washington on the way home. Wish Sissy could have woken us up to join us :)
