Wow - what a whirlwind of activities over the last four days. But, we wouldn't have it any other way, right?? And it just so happens that every place we went started with a B. We began our extended weekend on Thursday by cruising over to Bend to visit Brian's sister and family. It was good to see them since we haven't seen each other since Tristan was born. They were amazed at how big he had gotten!
Then on Friday, we went over to Black Butte for a quick trip to see Lawrence, Britt, Sam, Trac & Dave. Michelle and Eli came with us for a fun, but rushed visit.

Saturday morning, Brian and I wanted to take advantage of our time there and decided to take Eli to breakfast. We feel like we don't get to see him very much and since we got to spend a whole week with Emma in Montana, this was a perfect opportunity to hang out with just Eli. We stopped at a yummy crepe restaurant in downtown Bend and then went to the duck pond to eat our breakfast. Here is my attempt to capture the moment:
Sadly, we had to rush home to get ready to meet my family at our good family friends' house in Brush Prairie that day. And when I say rush, I actually mean move at a snail's pace. Brian decided on the trip home that we needed to stop and get all new tires for the Land Rover. Yes, I appreciate him thinking of our safety on our journey home, but no, I did not like the timing of it. A "quick" stop at Les Schwab turned into 3 hours. We were leaving the Madras tire center at the same time we should have been arriving at the Focker BBQ (see next post). Needless to say, we didn't show up to Focker Weekend until sunset. Oh well...would you expect anything less??
