Portland celebrations!

We traveled to Portland once again to go to our dear friend, Christie's, baby shower.  Initially, it was supposed to be a solo girls trip for me, but after another snow threat in the mountains and Central Oregon, I decided it be best that Brian and the kids come along so that he could drive me.  I haven't become completely sure of my snow/ice driving skills yet!  And of course we packed in as much as we could into our 24 hours in Portland!!

It was so nice of the Klockes to host a dinner at their house because we were in town.  Especially since they do not have kids of their own yet.  They had no idea what they were in for!

Despite their 2 1/2 year age difference, these two have a very sweet bond.  Tristan absolutely idolizes Nick.  And I love how welcoming and gentle Nick is with his young friend :) 

It was also fun to see Amelia & Leah play together.  They were bonding over their princess stories and toys!

Oh, how get-togethers are a bit different these days!

Bummed that these were the only pics I got of Christie's shower.  It was basically a laughing-fest the entire time!

Oh, and for some reason, Sarah thought that good baby shower music was '90s rap, as evidenced by the screen behind Christie.  Another friend who obviously does not have kids :)
