Local Olympian hero

Since moving to Bend, we've got to see just how proud the locals are of "one of their own". This summer, we religiously watched the Olympics, especially following the local hero, Ashton Eaton, as he won gold in the decathlon. So when we heard the town was going to throw him a parade in his honor, we thought it would be a neat experience for us and the kiddos to go see. It turned into a Parade of the Olympians as there are many Olympic medalists and participants in the population. Pretty fun to see how a tight-knit community can rally around one of their own!

We accidentally got there an hour and a half early so were able to score front row seats :)

Cousin time!

For the past two weekends, we got to have lots of cousin time as Aunt Michelle went to a bachelorette party one weekend and both Michelle & Ryan went to a wedding the next. We had a lot of play time at parks for the boys and shopping trips for the girls. So much fun!

First bites!

Since we now have a five month old, we decided it was time to try out some rice cereal and beginning baby food. Not too many funny faces as she pretty much liked it all!

These faces are more because of the flash of the camera then because of the taste.

I had forgotten just how messy it is when they are first starting to eat. Mess all over the face, hair, bib, dress... :)

Happy 5 month!!

And just like that, we have a 5 month old! It's so hard to believe that it's already been five months since we welcomed sweet Talia into our lives. She is such a happy and loving baby; we are so blessed!
Here are some 5 month milestones:
* She rolled over for the first time a few weeks ago and is now doing it effortlessly front to back and back to front!
* She and Tristan are interacting more and more each day. In fact, he loves to serenade her with his guitar while she laughs and smiles for him.
* She also LOVES her Jumparoos which she jumps like a mad woman in :)
* She also seems to be a morning person. She wakes up with a huge smile and spends the next hour jumping in her Jumparoo or smiling or laughing at anyone she comes into contact with :)

Wish I had better photos of her for this posting, but I think this past month has been a busy one for us! We love you, sweet sissy!!

Jenna's shower!

This last weekend, we made our third trip to Portland in five weeks! This time it was a pretty quick, but important trip, as I was a co-host for Jenna's baby shower. It ended up being such a wonderful day of celebrating Jenna & Sam's upcoming arrival. I cannot wait until we can meet Baby Boy Corrado next month!! And Brian's pretty excited that we finally have a home for our mounds of baby boy gear as well as my endless bags of maternity wear :)

Faux camping

Well, summer is almost over and we have yet to go camping. Since it looks like it's most likely not going to happen before winter sets in, Brian decided to set up the tent in the backyard and let Tristan have a "camping day". He brought in all of his favorite items - guitar and dump trucks - and had fun on his faux camping trip!
