We celebrared the 4th this year by being apart of the pet parade in downtown Bend. Since our crazies we call dogs would not have been able to handle the large crowd, we decided to tag along with the Goodys and their dog so that we could justify being in a pet parade. It was pretty exciting!
Not the greatest of pics, but one of the only ones I have with my babes these days. And this will be the last time we mask the fact that Tristan needs a haircut by doing a comb-over on him. Yikes.
Ya, I was a little camera-happy during the parade. But the moment was seriously too cute not to document :)
Then after the parade, we came back to our house for a neighborhood block party. My oh my, what a difference in neighborhoods! We hardly knew the name of our previous neighbors in the 6 1/2 years we lived there and now in the six weeks we have lived here, we know most everyone's names and are actually socializing with them - wow!!

Tristan LOVED this vehicle! Here he is giving cousin Eli a ride. The pic I really wish I would have gotten was of him cruising around with a girl around his age. He even had his arm around her shoulder when he put it in reverse and looked behind him to check for oncoming traffic. Several times, the car "broke down" (batteries ran out) and he would get out, open the hood to check out the problem while she waited patiently in her seat. Then he would get back into the car, only to have it chug and jerk down the road the entire time. This scenario was repeated many times before she finally grew tired and crawled out while he was under the hood. Seriously one of the funniest things I've seen!
