First days home

Here are some pics of our first few days at home as we're trying to settle into our new routine. A bit of an adjustment from the hospital, but we're loving being a family of four!

Even Aunt Michelle and cousins Eli & Emma came to visit!

First visitors

Talia had a lot of love from friends and family in the hospital. We tried to capture all of the first visitors who came to meet our sweet little girl.
Clint & Sarah
Since Lo couldn't make one of our Hospital Happy Hours, she was able to come down after her shift (luckily she works at the same hospital!) to visit Talia on the day she was born.
Hospital Happy Hour #1, 4/11 - Ali, Falkie, Erin & Ang (Lynds had to leave before our pic was taken)
Jenna & Sam
Hospital Happy Hour #2, 4/12 - Lawrence, Trac, Jenna & Bridgit
And of course Grama & Papa were there to visit again :)

Talia Leigh

Today we welcomed our sweet little girl into the world. Talia Leigh arrived at 8:25am weighing 6lbs, 10oz and is 19 inches long. Luckily her arrival was not quite as eventful as her brother's. The date and time were both set and all we had to do was arrive at 6am for our 8am surgery. What a huge difference!! What a beautiful blessing she is. Here are some pictures of our sweet and precious Talia:
Tristan was so excited to see the "baby, baby!" which he kept repeating over and over every time he saw her. He wanted SO badly to touch her, hold her, point out her eyes, ears, etc. SO cute!!
Proud Grama Candy :)
Papa giving Talia some love
Grama & Grampa George
Two happy grandmas :)
Good thing he doesn't mind diaper changes - I'm not able to for a few days!!
Grandpa Danner
Aunt Bridg, Uncle T & cousin Lincoln also getting some Talia love :)
Big brother loves his little sister :)

Last outing - Zoo day!

Today, Tristan and I decided that we wanted to have one last hurrah before our little girl is here, so we asked Grama, Papa and Lincoln if they wanted to accompany us to the zoo. And it turned out to be perfect weather for animal viewing! I have never seen so many animals out and so active - it was the perfect trip for our last outing before the little one arrives tomorrow!
On our way to the zoo!
Like I said, perfect day for animal viewing. I've never seen any of the bears up close before!
This is the first time I actually saw the sun bears up close - what crazy, wrinkled faces they have!
Whenever we went into a cove or place with water, T had to hold onto my mom very tight - not sure if he was afraid that the fish/sea creatures could break through the glass and get to him, but either way he was pretty terrified :)
We even got to see Packy right before his 50th birthday this weekend! T seemed more impressed with the "two fans" (his favorite number to say right now) that were above him in his cage, rather than this enormous animal, but I thought he was impressive!

Happy Easter!

Today, Brian and I hosted Easter for both of our families at our house. It's not like we didn't have enough going on already with trying to prepare for a newborn entering our lives in a few days, right?? It turned out to be a beautiful day and it was so much fun to watch the boys get together and hunt for Easter eggs at the nearby park.
I know I said the last pic would be the last side shot you'd see of me, but I have an identical picture of me from two years ago that my mom insisted we repeat. Can you say...done??

Parent Night Out

Last night, Brian's parents watched T so that we could have a night out before our next little one is here. Coincidentally, we also went to the same place we went to almost two years ago when we were awaiting the arrival of Tristan. I don't think we've been back since that night, so it definitely felt like deja vu to be back and celebrating our next one, too! Trac, Dave, Jaime, Jenna and Sam all met us out as we took advantage of a few of the restaurants/bars along Mississippi to help us celebrate our upcoming arrival. Can't wait for a few days from now!

We have a picture of the two of us at the same place two years ago. Now we're about to become a family of four!
